About William S. Hatcher
William S. Hatcher was a mathematician, philosopher, and educator. He conducted research and published books, articles, and monographs in the mathematical sciences, logic and philosophy. His special interest was the philosophical interpenetration of science and religion. A résumé and critical discussion of his philosophical monograph Logic and Logos was included in the Encyclopédie Philosophique Universelle (Presses Universitaires de France, 1992) where Professor Hatcher is listed as one of eight Platonist philosophers of the late twentieth century. Following his passing in 2005, he was described as “one of the brightest minds” of the worldwide Bahá’í community by the Universal House of Justice, the supreme governing body of the Bahá’í Faith.
